Safety Responsibilities

When a man enters a company, he must know the rules and regulations of it. In a company, there are always rules and policies need to follow of the employees. All the companies want to prevent any accidents and injuries in their employees, so they make safety programs to prevent any circumstances of accidents in the workplace.

When we say safety, it is a condition of being safe, staying protected from physical, emotional, financial, damage, error or any undesirable event. It is also protecting you from the hazardous things in the workplace.

Who will help the employees to prevent hazards in their workplace? First is yourself, know your limit and things that you should know. One employee has the responsibility regarding his safety at his workplace, like using safety clothes or personal protective equipment and to follow the rules of the company. Not only the employees have the responsibilities in safety, from the highest position to the lowest position has its own safety responsibilities. All the task responsibility must be accepted by anyone, no matter what position he has.

A safety professional acts in all staff as top in applying, promoting and teaching the safety in the workplace. Training about safety is one the best way on how to help the employees to be familiarized to the hazards in the place that they may encounter, to know what may happen if they didn’t use PPE, how to handle accidents in the workplace and to know the personal protective equipment clearly, what PPE that they may use and how effective PPE in their daily work.

All the responsibilities of one position must be accomplished to help the company, the employees and also your own self from the accidents that may happen. Always remember "safety first". Make your life safe everyday.
